Phlebotomist

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups
• Collect specialized specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol testing
• Enter patient information accurately and timely into the system
• Process billing information and collect payments as required
• Prepare all collected specimens for subsequent testing and analysis
• Maintain detailed patient and specimen information logs
• Provide superior customer service to all patients in a clinical setting
• Perform administrative and clerical duties and travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification, completed training program, or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
• Ability to work independently or within a team environment
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of professional phlebotomy experience
