About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy through in-person home interviews and site visits to collect biospecimens.
  • Collect, handle, process (e.g., centrifuge and aliquot), transfer, and ship blood samples following study protocols and IATA/OSHA safety requirements.
  • Schedule and conduct in-person study visits at participants' homes for data and biospecimen collection.
  • Organize telephone schedules and call records for study participants.
  • Maintain participant records in electronic databases while ensuring strict confidentiality.
  • Participate in study meetings and ensure compliance with all research protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist.
  • Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program.
  • Ability to travel independently to various work locations within the Gateway Region.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.

  • Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal).
