About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform CLIA waived rapid testing for patients
  • Obtain, label, package, and store patient blood specimens
  • Maintain phlebotomy and laboratory areas using safety protocols
  • Perform quality control, parallel testing, and inventory
  • Participate in internal and external proficiency testing
  • Monitor storage and testing area temperatures
  • Maintain required laboratory documentation
  • Notify supervisors of any issues affecting test quality or accuracy

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of full-time experience or training in a biological, chemical, or clinical laboratory OR
  • Eight credits including laboratory coursework in biology, chemistry, or medical technology
