PHE Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Perform equipment receipt, inspection, repair, testing, and packaging of Plate Heat Exchangers (PHE)
• Disassemble, clean, and rebuild PHEs to new standards following SOPs and quality guidelines
• Conduct dye penetration inspections to identify holes, cracks, or irregularities in plates
• Install new gaskets using glue, snap, or clip methods per specific requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area following 5S standards
• Complete inspection reports and read technical drawings as jobs progress through the shop
• Manage shipping, receiving, and distribution of Alfa Laval and customer equipment

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to use measuring devices such as tape measures and depth micrometers
• Flexibility and a team-player mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manual shop environment
• Experience operating forklifts, hand pallet jacks, or overhead cranes
