About the role

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the research team to revolutionise the detection and management of iron deficiency in female athletes using quantum sensing technology.
  • Conduct laboratory, fieldwork, and research activities that contribute to the STRIKE project objectives.
  • Develop and learn quantum technology skills necessary for advanced data collection and analysis.
  • Contribute to the preparation and formulation of publications, presentations, and research reports.
  • Develop a professional publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Requirements

  • Domestic applicant status.
  • Identification as being of Aboriginal Australian or Torres Strait Islander descent.
  • Completion of a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours equivalent, or a Master’s degree (AQF Level 9) with a significant research component.
  • Strong research background and academic merit.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in exercise science, physics, and/or physical biosciences.
  • High-level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • A demonstrated interest in female athlete health and performance.
