About the role
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the research team to revolutionise the detection and management of iron deficiency in female athletes using quantum sensing technology.
- Conduct laboratory, fieldwork, and research activities that contribute to the STRIKE project objectives.
- Develop and learn quantum technology skills necessary for advanced data collection and analysis.
- Contribute to the preparation and formulation of publications, presentations, and research reports.
- Develop a professional publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
Requirements
- Domestic applicant status.
- Identification as being of Aboriginal Australian or Torres Strait Islander descent.
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours equivalent, or a Master’s degree (AQF Level 9) with a significant research component.
- Strong research background and academic merit.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in exercise science, physics, and/or physical biosciences.
- High-level interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
- Experience working with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- A demonstrated interest in female athlete health and performance.
