About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop novel trans-nasal delivery methods, such as peptides and micellar formulations, for targeted delivery of therapeutic agents.
  • Systematically explore different carriers for the trans-nasal delivery of molecules and cell components.
  • Characterise and optimise delivery vehicles from an application viewpoint.
  • Test the efficiency of these delivery approaches using rodent models of traumatic brain injury (TBI).
  • Contribute to the "Cure Traumatic Brain Injury" project with the goal of driving products into clinical trials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with Honours (2A) or equivalent, or a Master's degree with a significant research component.
  • Scientific background in neuroscience or cell biology.
  • Demonstrated passion for conducting basic and translational research.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and cooperatively within a large, multi-disciplinary team.
  • An innovative and entrepreneurial attitude with a focus on delivering products to market.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or interest in working with clinicians and consumer involvement in research.
  • Aptitude for working in a translational research environment aimed at clinical application.
