About the role

Responsibilities

  • Focus on the development and validation of novel biomarkers for musculoskeletal health
  • Utilize non-invasive detection methods and point-of-use biosensors
  • Work at the intersection of translational medicine, proteomics, and molecular biology
  • Collaborate with the Australian Shoulder Research Institute and interdisciplinary research teams
  • Conduct extensive protein and RNA assay work

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree with First Class Honours or a Master's degree (AQF Level 9) with a significant research component
  • Strong academic background in Medical Laboratory Science, Pathology, Molecular Pathology, or a related field
  • Demonstrated research experience working with hospital laboratories or end users
  • Technical proficiency or strong interest in running protein and RNA assays
  • Valid Australian Driver's license
  • English language proficiency (minimum IELTS 6.5 or equivalent)
  • Strong collaborative skills and a passion for precision health research

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multivariate statistical analysis
