About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and refine an AI-based framework to identify individual-specific bioaerosol signatures from complex biological data
- Integrate environmental aerosol sampling technologies with high-resolution chemical analysis and AI-driven signal deconvolution
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary research team across various institutes to push the boundaries of real-time environmental monitoring
- Conduct innovative research contributing to the national interest and emerging technologies
Requirements
- Background in computer science or a related discipline
- Familiarity with AI and machine learning principles
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience with AI platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
- Completion of an Honours degree (second class/Division A equivalent) or a Masters degree with a significant research component
- Eligibility for domestic scholarship (Australian citizen, permanent resident, or NZ special category Visa holder)
