About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on iron measurement using quantum technology to advance the STRIKE project
  • Perform laboratory and fieldwork contributing to research objectives regarding iron deficiency in female athletes
  • Collaborate with the research team to develop rapid and precise detection methods
  • Contribute to the preparation of publications, presentations, and research reports
  • Develop a professional publication record in peer-reviewed journals
  • Option to learn specialized quantum technology skills for data collection and analysis

Requirements

  • First class honours or a Master's degree (AQF Level 9)
  • A degree incorporating a significant research component
  • Experience in exercise science, physics, or physical biosciences
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
  • Demonstrated capacity to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated interest in female athlete health and performance
  • High-level organizational and time-management skills
