About the role

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-order numerical methods, specifically Discontinuous Galerkin, for CFD simulations of aircraft contrail jet regimes
  • Set up and execute simulations using the next-generation CFD solver CODA
  • Perform advanced physical analysis and validation of simulation results
  • Propose and develop appropriate numerical approaches to overcome challenges in large-scale aerodynamic simulations
  • Extend and develop the simulation toolchain as required
  • Produce scientific communications, including research papers and conference presentations

Requirements

  • Engineering or research master degree in Applied Mathematics or Fluid Dynamics
  • Strong knowledge of numerical methods for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming, specifically C++ and Python
  • Advanced level of English
  • Strong communication, networking, and collaboration skills
