About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop high-order numerical methods, specifically Discontinuous Galerkin, for CFD simulations of aircraft contrail jet regimes
- Set up and execute simulations using the next-generation CFD solver CODA
- Perform advanced physical analysis and validation of simulation results
- Propose and develop appropriate numerical approaches to overcome challenges in large-scale aerodynamic simulations
- Extend and develop the simulation toolchain as required
- Produce scientific communications, including research papers and conference presentations
Requirements
- Engineering or research master degree in Applied Mathematics or Fluid Dynamics
- Strong knowledge of numerical methods for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming, specifically C++ and Python
- Advanced level of English
- Strong communication, networking, and collaboration skills
