Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Carry out comprehensive medicines reconciliation for new admissions
• Support ward-based clinical pharmacy services as part of the MMT team
• Work closely with pharmacists, nursing staff, and wider MDT to ensure safe medication practices
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medication records
• Provide patient counselling and support on medicines where required
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and supply processes across the hospital
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement within the pharmacy service

Requirements

• Qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the GPhC
• Essential medicines reconciliation (Med Rec) experience
• Proven experience as an MMT or within ward-based pharmacy services
• Hospital pharmacy experience required
• Previous work in mental health settings is highly desirable
