Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Manage medication distribution, including filling prescriptions and delivering medications efficiently
• Perform pharmacy inventory tasks such as receiving/shelving medications and monitoring for outdated stock
• Handle data entry, claims billing, and cashiering duties
• Respond to telephone inquiries and route calls appropriately
• Maintain a neat and orderly pharmacy environment, including cleaning and stocking supplies
• Participate in quality assessment and improvement projects

Requirements

• Active licensure with the Montana Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
• Minimum of 2 years of applicable retail pharmacy technician experience
• RQI CPR First Responder certification (can be obtained within 7 days of hire)
• Proficient typing skills and understanding of medical terminology and calculations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations with professionalism

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Pioneer RX software
• Prior experience with Pharmacy Systems and Electronic Health Records
