Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with all procedures, rules, and regulations
• Assist the pharmacist in retrieving prescription refills from veterinarian prescribers
• Perform data entry of valid prescriptions and assist in filling prescription items as permitted by the state board
• Run automated machinery required to pre-sort and package medications
• Transition orders through different workflow stages from initial dispense through quality control
• Count and fill prescription vials and affix labels on bulk prescription items
• Pack and ship completed orders, including printing and affixing appropriate labels on dispensers and shipping boxes
• Work with the Operations team to ensure medications are correctly placed in pouches and sorted for timely shipping
• Follow up with patients to clarify questions and provide updates on their orders
• Help maintain and clean equipment and work areas

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted in-state Board of Pharmacy License (includes Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Trainee)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6+ months of experience working with computer and web-based tools
• Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving startup environment
