About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare, package, label, process, and distribute prescription orders accurately for pharmacist verification
- Maintain inventory by stocking shelves, rotating stock, and checking expiration dates
- Operate pharmacy automation and repackaging equipment including Autofill devices and electronic scales
- Use computer systems and scanning equipment to select correct medications and NDC information
- Perform first-level preventive maintenance and cleaning on pharmacy automation cells
- Follow SOPs and hazardous material precautions
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting or graduation from an Academic Technician Training Educational Program
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Basic typing and PC skills
- Fluency in English (reading, understanding, speaking, and writing)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or sit for 8–10 hours
