Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Prepare, package, label, process, and distribute prescription orders accurately for pharmacist verification
• Maintain inventory by stocking shelves, rotating stock, and checking expiration dates
• Operate pharmacy automation and repackaging equipment including Autofill devices and electronic scales
• Use computer systems and scanning equipment to select correct medications and NDC information
• Perform first-level preventive maintenance and cleaning on pharmacy automation cells
• Follow SOPs and hazardous material precautions

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 6 months of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting or graduation from an Academic Technician Training Educational Program
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Basic typing and PC skills
• Fluency in English (reading, understanding, speaking, and writing)
• U.S. Citizenship
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or sit for 8–10 hours
