Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Support the pharmacy team in delivering operational and service excellence within the retail store
• Follow pharmacy workflow procedures for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment at various workstations
• Provide exceptional patient service by demonstrating empathy and resolving patient problems
• Complete basic inventory activities, including medication deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stock
• Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, including regulations regarding controlled substance dispensing and patient privacy
• Assist with additional healthcare services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing where permitted by law and certification

Requirements

• Compliance with all state board of pharmacy laws and requirements regarding age, education, and licensure
• High school diploma or equivalent (or currently enrolled in a high school equivalency program)
• Ability to perform mathematical reasoning for tasks such as determining tablet counts and days' supply
• Ability to stand and remain upright for extended periods
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients and colleagues
• Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Flexibility to work across different locations within the market to meet business needs
