Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform packaging, labeling, record keeping, and other tasks associated with prescription fulfillment
• Contact physicians to obtain missing or necessary prescription information
• Take incoming calls responding to patient requests and routing calls as needed
• Collect and verify pertinent patient information to ensure accurate processing
• Assist the Pharmacist in maintaining procedures and documentation for regulatory compliance
• Adhere strictly to HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient confidentiality
• Respond to customer inquiries via phone regarding order placement and system navigation
• Accurately count, label, and prepare prescriptions according to established protocols
• Support inventory management and stock control to improve operational efficiency
• Use pharmacy management software for efficient prescription processing

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Florida Pharmacy Technician license required
• National Pharmacy Technician license required within 6 months of hire
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
• 2-4 years of experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
