Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions and assist with daily fills under the supervision of a pharmacist in accordance with State and Federal Laws
• Operate the pharmacy computer system to ensure accurate prescription documentation and billing
• Order supplies and prescription medications as directed by the Pharmacist
• Maintain the pharmacy Pyxis system, including restocking medications and managing outdates on a daily basis
• Manage call center phones, contact insurance companies, and enter prescriptions into the system
• Package and stage prescriptions for delivery
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with yearly pharmacy inventory audits

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Current registration through the Pennsylvania State Board of Pharmacy
• Proficient computer skills for data entry, reporting, documentation, and billing
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or data entry technician
• Working knowledge of reviewing and entering prescription orders
• Experience with PrimeCare/QS1 Pharmacy operations system
• Exposure to Pharmacy Automation systems (e.g., TCGRx)

Benefits

• Starting compensation of $17 per hour, depending on experience
• Support and compensation for achieving the Pharmacy Technician Certification process
