Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions accurately by counting, mixing, and packaging medications under pharmacist direction
• Operate and monitor pharmacy automation equipment and robotic dispensing machines
• Prepare blister packs and stage pharmaceutical supplies for delivery
• Maintain inventory by receiving, logging, and rotating stock to ensure product freshness
• Use pharmacy software to record prescription data and maintain patient profiles
• Act as a liaison between customers, providers, and the pharmacy to handle inquiries and orders
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company privacy and security guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in equipment maintenance

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Active pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience working in a pharmacy environment
• Previous experience as a pharmacy technician
