Pharmacy Technician

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently at designated filling stations along the conveyor
• Maintain order fulfillment accuracy and monitor station queues
• Manage and stock received pharmacy inventory
• Package orders properly for shipment to patients
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking levels at the filling station
• Perform quality assurance to meet patient needs and meet daily pharmacy goals
• Communicate with internal counterparts to resolve patient issues

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the pharmacy for extended periods
• Ability to use multiple software programs to fulfill medication orders

Preferred Qualifications

• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification
• Texas Board of Pharmacy registration
• Prior experience in a pharmacy environment or as a pharmacy technician
