About the role
Responsibilities
- Complete direct patient care rotations in internal medicine, family medicine, and HIV primary care clinics
- Develop or update collaborative practice agreements during the second half of the residency
- Oversee the inpatient antiretroviral stewardship program
- Serve as an intermediary resource for anticoagulation consults
- Staff the hospital’s outpatient pharmacy approximately one weekend per month
- Act as a primary preceptor for Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students
- Deliver didactic lectures and facilitate small group academic sessions and practice labs
- Participate in college committees as opportunities arise
Requirements
- Pharm.D degree
- Graduate of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency
- Minimum GPA of 3.2
- Authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the residency
- Must apply through PHORCAS
- Submission of CV and three letters of recommendation (including one from a PGY1 program director and one from a residency preceptor)
Preferred Qualifications
- New York State pharmacy licensure
