Pharmacy Practice Resident

Responsibilities

• Complete direct patient care rotations in internal medicine, family medicine, and HIV primary care clinics
• Develop or update collaborative practice agreements during the second half of the residency
• Oversee the inpatient antiretroviral stewardship program
• Serve as an intermediary resource for anticoagulation consults
• Staff the hospital’s outpatient pharmacy approximately one weekend per month
• Act as a primary preceptor for Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) students
• Deliver didactic lectures and facilitate small group academic sessions and practice labs
• Participate in college committees as opportunities arise

Requirements

• Pharm.D degree
• Graduate of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency
• Minimum GPA of 3.2
• Authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the residency
• Must apply through PHORCAS
• Submission of CV and three letters of recommendation (including one from a PGY1 program director and one from a residency preceptor)

Preferred Qualifications

• New York State pharmacy licensure
