Pharmacy Manager

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of pharmacy department operations, including staff management, prescription processing, and regulatory compliance.
• Train and manage staff pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and customer service associates.
• Manage pharmacy staff schedules, vacation requests, and payroll.
• Ensure compliance with all State and Federal statutes, rules, and regulations related to pharmacy practice.
• Manage inventory levels and review prescription drug pricing to achieve optimal gross profit margins.
• Receive, process, fill, and check prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Counsel patients on new prescriptions and changes in therapy or patient condition.
• Monitor and analyze pharmacy reports to ensure quality assurance and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with corporate staff and other pharmacy managers to implement new programs and services.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school or college of pharmacy.
• Licensed Pharmacist in the state of Minnesota or Iowa.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including Monday–Friday and occasional weekends.
• Ability to stand for approximately 8 hours and lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three or more years of pharmacy experience in a retail or community setting.
• Two or more years of experience in a leadership or management role.
• Thorough knowledge of both the technical and financial aspects of a pharmacy business.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a high-stress environment.
