About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide medication management services and support to hospital patients
  • Work alongside hospital clinicians to serve patients face-to-face and via phone
  • Educate prospective pharmacy patients on hospital services and medication adherence
  • Support outpatient retail and specialty prescription needs
  • Manage medication refills, insurance issues, and prior authorizations
  • Identify medications requiring special storage and necessary medical supplies
  • Maintain accurate documentation in database applications
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care

Requirements

  • 2 years of pharmacy experience required
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Ability to work independently and manage administrative tasks

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPhT certification
  • 3–5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Knowledge of transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease (including HIV), or oncology
