About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide medication management services and support to hospital patients
- Work alongside hospital clinicians to serve patients face-to-face and via phone
- Educate prospective pharmacy patients on hospital services and medication adherence
- Support outpatient retail and specialty prescription needs
- Manage medication refills, insurance issues, and prior authorizations
- Identify medications requiring special storage and necessary medical supplies
- Maintain accurate documentation in database applications
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
Requirements
- 2 years of pharmacy experience required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
- Ability to work independently and manage administrative tasks
Preferred Qualifications
- CPhT certification
- 3–5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Knowledge of transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease (including HIV), or oncology
