Pharmacy Liaison

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated medication management services to hospital patients face-to-face and over the phone
• Educate prospective pharmacy patients on specialty pharmacy services and benefits
• Support medication adherence by performing refill reminder calls and securing prescriptions
• Resolve insurance-related issues including prior authorizations and financial assistance
• Coordinate with clinic teams, including doctors and nurses, to ensure seamless patient care
• Manage and update patient data using database applications and tracking mechanisms
• Identify medications requiring special storage, such as hazardous or refrigerated items
• Assist in developing new processes to improve operational efficiency and patient care

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• High School Diploma or GED
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage administrative tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Nationally certified CPhT
• 3-5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Knowledge of transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease (including HIV), or oncology
