Pharmacy Liaison

Responsibilities

• Provide integrated support to patients and pharmacists to ensure total quality patient care
• Work alongside hospital clinicians to serve patients face-to-face and over the phone
• Educate prospective pharmacy patients on specialty pharmacy services and benefits
• Support outpatient retail and specialty prescription medication needs
• Manage medication adherence through outbound check-ups and securing refill prescriptions
• Resolve insurance issues including prior authorizations and financial assistance forms
• Identify medications requiring special storage, such as hazardous or refrigerated items
• Maintain appropriate documentation in all required systems and tracking mechanisms
• Manage, organize, and update relevant data using database applications

Requirements

• 2 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work across multiple software platforms and browser tabs simultaneously
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• High attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• National CPhT certification
• 3-5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician
• Knowledge of transplant, hepatitis C, infectious disease (including HIV), or oncology
