Pharmacy Inventory Technician

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage medication inventory to ensure adequate stock and prevent shortages
• Receive, verify, and store pharmaceutical products according to regulatory standards and internal protocols
• Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies using pharmacy management systems
• Assist in preparing orders, returns, and restocking shelves to maintain efficient workflow
• Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and suppliers to resolve inventory issues
• Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and adhere to safety and compliance guidelines
• Support medication recall processes and ensure proper disposal of expired products

Requirements

• 3+ years of related experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of experience in pharmacy, healthcare inventory, or supply chain management
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
• Experience with automated dispensing systems or pharmacy management software
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and best practices in inventory control
• Background in healthcare logistics or supply chain analytics
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills
