Pharmacy Intern

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, accurate, and efficient care while building strong relationships with patients in a service-conscious environment
• Perform all regular duties of a Pharmacy Technician, including selecting and counting medication
• Enter patient personal data, insurance information, and prescription details including calculations and directions
• Maintain proper inventory levels by submitting online orders and assisting with physical inventories
• Welcome and acknowledge patients with compassion and assist with processing orders in person or by phone
• Comply with all company and pharmacy policies, including HIPAA and pseudoephedrine regulations
• Assist pharmacists with drug utilization reviews, resolving third-party rejections, and processing refills
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment to ensure company and government requirements are met

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent
• Current enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy degree program
• Active in-state Pharmacy Intern License
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
