Pharmacy Customer Service Associate

Responsibilities

• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience by greeting patients and offering assistance with products and services.
• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision by using pharmacy systems to obtain patient information and process prescriptions.
• Perform pharmacy tasks including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs and verifying medication accuracy.
• Manage retail operations such as registering sales on cash registers, handling cash, and processing returns or exchanges.
• Maintain pharmacy and store appearance by keeping counters and shelves clean, well-merchandised, and properly stocked.
• Support inventory management activities including ordering, unpacking, and checking pharmaceutical shipments.
• Handle telephone calls, including those to physicians, that do not require the personal attention of the pharmacist.
• Manage web pick-up responsibilities by monitoring orders in Picture Care Plus and delivering them to customers.

Requirements

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Basic math and computer skills for accurate prescription filling and system navigation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a retail environment or previous experience working with Walgreens.
• Experience with cash handling and customer service.
• PTCB certification (encouraged).
• Knowledge of store inventory control and pharmacy systems.
