Pharmacy Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, patient-focused customer service via phone and email
• Create and maintain patient profiles and records using pharmacy software
• Schedule patient appointments, medication dispensing, and shipment timelines
• Accurately dispense, package, label, and prepare medications for shipment
• Process prescription billing and support third-party billing inquiries
• Perform shipping and receiving activities, including printing waybills and coordinating courier pickups
• Assist with inventory receiving, organization, and discrepancy reporting
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant shipping and receiving workspace
• Adhere to all company SOPs, privacy standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• Secondary School Diploma or High School Diploma or equivalent
• 0–1 years of relevant experience
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal
• Ability to lift and move up to 22 lbs independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a retail, specialty, or hospital pharmacy environment
• Exposure to shipping/receiving, warehouse, or inventory operations
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems such as Kroll
• Working knowledge of third-party prescription billing and reimbursement processes
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
