Pharmacology Research Scientist, Ex Vivo

Responsibilities

• Design, optimize, and execute preclinical PK, immunoassay, and cell assays to support pharmacology research.
• Develop and validate PK/PD assays, immunoassays, custom multiplexes, and primary cell/explant assays.
• Analyze, interpret, and present experimental data to project teams and senior leadership.
• Author and review bioanalytical reports for regulatory filings.
• Collaborate across functions to support programs from early discovery through candidate selection.
• Use scientific judgment to adapt standardized workflows and protocols for novel cell and gene therapies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of industry experience, Master’s degree with 5 years, or PhD with 3 years of industry experience.
• Proven technical proficiency in PK/PD, ligand binding assays, and primary cell/tissue culture.
• Hands-on experience with flow cytometry and immune cell assays.
• Proficiency in data analysis software including GraphPad Prism, Spotfire, and FlowJo.
• Experience operating automated assay systems (e.g., Hamilton, Integra).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VENUS lab automation software.
• Expertise in developing assays specifically for cell and gene therapies (CGT).
• Strong understanding of the drug development process and IND-enabling phases.
