Responsibilities

  • Prepare and dispense medications by reviewing physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilities
  • Perform medication therapy management and monitor medication regimens
  • Manage retail pharmacy operations and direct technician workflow
  • Verify prescriptions, preparation, and labeling of pharmaceuticals
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal drug laws, including 340B program requirements
  • Maintain records for controlled substances and manage pharmacy inventory
  • Train pharmacy staff, students, interns, and residents
  • Identify operational trends and implement process improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or BS in Pharmacy
  • Licensed Pharmacist in the applicable state
  • 1+ years of experience in a retail dispensing setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong clinical and technical skills
  • Excellent leadership and people management abilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a retail dispensing setting
