Pharmacist, Quality Oversight and Compliance

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary site contact for complaint management and adverse event investigations related to compounded products and third-party pharmacy partners
• Evaluate product quality complaints and Adverse Drug Events to determine reporting requirements for the BOP and other agencies
• Conduct thorough investigations into quality complaints, retrieving necessary records from batch, cleaning, and PMS systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Compounding Operations, Medical Affairs, and Quality Operations to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement
• Perform patient outreach and clinical counseling as needed
• Support data collection and trending of complaints to identify potential quality improvement opportunities
• Assist with BOP and/or FDA inspections and document requests
• Collaborate on the development and review of SOPs and relevant training

Requirements

• Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D)
• Active pharmacist license in Arizona
• 2+ years of pharmacist experience
• Strong knowledge of USP 795, 797, and 800 standards
• Thorough understanding of state and federal pharmacy laws, rules, and regulations
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of pharmacist experience with 2+ years in quality assurance roles within a regulated industry
• Experience working in a compounding pharmacy (503A or 503B)
• Proficiency with Google Suite and experience using EMR, Zendesk, or pharmacy management systems
