Pharmacist

Responsibilities

• Manage pharmacy operations and provide coverage or overlap for the pharmacy manager
• Counsel and educate patients on medications, chronic conditions, and specialty needs
• Collaborate with clinic providers and clinical staff as a member of the patient care team
• Attend clinical meetings and provide drug-related education
• Supervise staff pharmacists and technicians, addressing knowledge gaps through training
• Oversee operational areas including patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, inventory, workflow, and financial performance
• Maintain current HIPAA and fraud, waste, and abuse credentialing

Requirements

• Active pharmacist licensure in good standing
• Experience with pharmacy operations and personnel management
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations
• Understanding of HIPAA and fraud, waste, and abuse compliance standards
• Strong patient counseling and customer service abilities
