Pharmaceutical Microbiologist

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing including plate counting, subculturing, bioburden, water filtration, endotoxin, PET, and product suitability testing
• Enter and approve results within method and client-defined deadlines
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, stock control, and correct waste disposal
• Complete all documentation accurately and legibly in accordance with documented methods
• Escalate technical concerns or potential delays to Laboratory Management
• Provide practical and theoretical microbiology training to others
• Comply with Quality Management, Health & Safety procedures, and PPE requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Science, English, and Mathematics
• Practical and theoretical knowledge of microbiology methodologies
• Experience working within a Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratory or similar regulated environment
• Working knowledge of GMP standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and LIMS
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 17025:2017 requirements
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
