About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the transition of cataract surgeons from ECCE/MSICS to Phaco surgery through specialized training.
- Provide clinical and technical training in Operating Rooms, clinics, hospitals, and wet lab settings.
- Serve as a trusted consultant for surgeons and hospital staff regarding Alcon's ophthalmic devices and technologies.
- Collaborate with external consultants, instructors, and proctors to drive surgical skill development.
- Assist in delivering Phaco Development Program courses, professional congresses, and symposiums.
- Maintain thorough documentation, including pre-course assessments, surgical observations, and performance tracking.
- Ensure adherence to corporate compliance guidelines and handle local adverse event reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Clinical Application, Marketing, Sales, or a related role within a medical device company.
- Proven experience in the Ophthalmology or Optometry fields.
- Fluency in English.
- Valid driver's license and a valid passport.
- Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 40%) across Egypt and North Africa.
- Strong self-motivation, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational background as a Surgical/Medical Technologist, Biomedical Engineer, Ophthalmic Assistant, or Optometrist.
