PGS Admission Counselor

Responsibilities

• Implement recruitment strategies to attract and convert prospective online undergraduate and graduate students.
• Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from initial inquiry through enrollment, through consultative interviews and guidance.
• Conduct high-volume outbound outreach, including a minimum of 80 calls per day via phone, email, and text.
• Guide students through the admissions process, including application completion, documentation, and cost discussions.
• Maintain accurate student data and communication logs within the University’s CRM system.
• Plan and participate in recruitment initiatives such as virtual webinars, community outreach, and campus events.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, employers, and educational institutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience using CRM systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work on-site in Portland, OR, and maintain a regular on-campus presence.
• Demonstrated ability to meet performance benchmarks in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.
• Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends during peak recruitment cycles.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in higher education recruitment or student-facing roles.
• Experience working with adult learners or non-traditional student populations.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
