PG Driver/Labourer

Responsibilities

• Drive company LGV vehicles over established routes to ensure safe delivery and handling of industrial gas cylinders and packs
• Prioritize safety by abiding by company Health, Safety, and Environment policies and the 12 Life Saving Rules
• Manage multi-drop delivery services to customers and other company departments
• Ensure load security and perform daily vehicle checks, including mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment
• Maintain accurate paperwork, including Advice Notes, Load Sheets, Tachograph charts, and daily check sheets
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions following signals from loading crews
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any defects, accidents, or incidents immediately

Requirements

• Minimum LGV C (HGV 2) licence
• Full, clean driving licence and Driver’s CPC Card
• ADR certification with Core, Packages, and UN Class 2
• Experience with multi-drop deliveries and knowledge of local or regional areas
• Good standard of health and fitness
• Strong communication skills and a customer-service oriented mindset

Preferred Qualifications

• FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
• First Aid or Health & Safety qualifications
• Previous management or supervisory experience
• Strong numeracy and literacy skills
