About the role
Responsibilities
- Physically sample, measure, and take temperatures of vessel and shore tanks using API procedures.
- Calculate and report quantities of bulk liquid or gaseous hydrocarbon transfers and perform full reconciliation.
- Complete required reports and forms using proprietary SGS inspection systems.
- Coordinate with client representatives, US Customs, vessel personnel, and government agents.
- Maintain regular communication with business unit office staff regarding job status and concerns.
- Adhere to all company safety practices and the SGS Code of Integrity.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Proficiency in English.
- Basic proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and perform physical tasks such as climbing, stooping, and kneeling.
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 months to 2 years of transferable industry experience.
- Completion of internal Inspector Development Program Level.
- Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
- International Federation of Inspection Agencies (IFIA) Certification.
