Petroleum Engineer

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with global engineering and operations teams to analyze well and field performance to drive production optimization.
• Integrate with Reservoir, Facilities, Wells, and Flow Assurance disciplines to execute production debottlenecking and enhancement opportunities.
• Support operations schedule optimization, capacity enhancement, and production planning.
• Conduct regular system surveillance for production and injection wells to identify optimization opportunities.
• Assess system constraints and troubleshoot facility balance at the field, platform, or well level.
• Perform economic evaluations for well intervention and stimulation operations.
• Manage production data quality assurance, including measurement and allocation.
• Build and sustain proprietary production engineering technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil and gas industry specializing in Petroleum or Production Engineering.
• Expertise in inflow, outflow, and flowline modeling.
• Knowledge of well design, completion, intervention, and stimulation technologies.
• Experience with artificial lift methods and systems.
• Proficiency in production well testing and allocation principles.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within multi-cultural global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with engineering applications such as IPM (MBAL, GAP, PROSPER, Resolve), OFM, OLGA, or Hysys.
• Proficiency in data visualization software like Power BI, SeeQ, or XHQ.
• Scripting skills in Python.
• Experience in Production Database Management (e.g., Energy Components, PL/SQL).
• Previous field/operations, mentorship, or team leadership experience.
