Pest Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect lawns, landscapes, and trees for signs of pest activity
• Apply pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals using appropriate equipment
• Calibrate and operate sprayers, spreaders, and other application equipment
• Evaluate the extent of pest infestations and assess potential damage
• Apply pest control methods such as sprays, traps, and baits
• Safely handle and dispose of chemicals in compliance with regulations
• Communicate with clients regarding treatment plans and prevention strategies
• Maintain equipment and vehicles to ensure proper working condition
• Keep detailed records of services performed and chemicals used

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of experience in pest control or related fields
• Customer service experience
• Ability to identify various pests and their habits
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Physical stamina for bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
• Experience using pest control equipment and applying chemicals safely
• Certification or licensure in pest control (may be required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the lawn care or landscaping industry
