Pest Control Operator

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of pest management services, including structural pests, rodent control, and wildlife management
• Treat for pests, diseases, and weeds using various application methods while following all label guidelines and using required PPE
• Capture and trap nuisance wildlife such as snakes, raccoons, and alligators following departmental guidelines
• Diagnose pest issues through routine inspections and respond to service requests from Cast and Guests
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules and explain non-chemical preventive steps to stakeholders
• Document all activities and complete required daily paperwork
• Comply with all state and federal laws regarding pest control, wildlife control, and pesticide usage

Requirements

• Valid Florida driver's license
• Minimum of 3 years of documented pest control experience under a licensed operation, or a college degree in a related field
• Strong knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles
• Knowledge of common Florida pests, wildlife, plant diseases, and weeds
• Proficiency in standard office software and mobile electronic devices
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• State certification as a Certified Pest Control Operator in all categories
• Familiarity with state and federal agencies and regulations regarding pest and wildlife control
• Experience using the Maximo work scheduling system
• Working knowledge of self-contained spray vehicles
• Multi-lingual skills
