Personnel Security Specialist IV

Responsibilities

• Perform extensive FBI indices checks and arrest record checks to obtain identifying information for cases
• Review and analyze investigative reports for conformance to administrative requirements and ensure investigation adequacy
• Recommend adjudication for the approval, denial, or revocation of security clearances and access authorizations
• Participate in the formulation and direction of new rules, regulations, and procedures for personnel security programs
• Conduct security briefings, including Security Awareness and Hostile Threat training
• Provide expert guidance to field office personnel and resolve security issues for current employees
• Monitor and remain vigilant for new methods regarding the affirmation of clearances and regulations

Requirements

• Active Top Secret US Government Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• Seven (7) years of experience in personnel security investigative or investigative analyst fields
• Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience OR Associate's Degree with 9 years of experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience writing Reports of Investigation (ROI)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Experience with Federal Law Enforcement and Intelligence Community IT systems
• Demonstrated ability to conduct database searches and research using open source and government systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant field of study
• Knowledge of DOJ and FBI regulations regarding the personnel security process
• Previous experience in a security leadership role
• Strong understanding of Federal Investigative Standards (FISs), SEAD, and Executive Orders (EOs)
