Personnel Security Specialist I Adjudicator

Responsibilities

• Complete personnel security suitability intake tasks in support of DHS Federal Protective Services (FPS)
• Initiate background investigations and manage receipt of security documents from contractor applicants
• Conduct fingerprinting procedures and verify appropriate background investigation levels
• Prepare, submit, monitor, and update computer tracking systems regarding case material
• Ensure all required documents for suitability processing are completed and included in individual files
• Apply incident management, problem-solving, and task performance to support special projects

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in security or intelligence fields (e.g., technical, physical, information, industrial, personnel, or operational security)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• US Citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US government Public Trust security clearance
• Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise in implementing complex government security or intelligence programs and policies
• Familiarity with ISMS, eQIP, CVS, and/or DISS
