Personal Support Worker

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and transfers
• Assist residents with meals, hydration, and nutritional support
• Administer medications in accordance with organizational policies and legislation
• Observe, document, and report changes in residents' physical, emotional, and cognitive conditions
• Support residents in recreational and social activities
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the interdisciplinary team
• Follow infection prevention and control practices and resident safety procedures
• Promote resident dignity, privacy, and choice

Requirements

• Personal Support Worker Certificate from an accredited Ontario Community College or Registered Private Career College
• Ability to work every other weekend
• Availability for day, evening, and night shifts
• Ability to perform physical requirements including lifting, transferring, and repositioning residents
• Completion of a Vulnerable Sector Check and TB screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR/First Aid certification
• Previous experience working with seniors in retirement or long-term care
• Medication administration experience
• Basic computer skills
