Personal Safety Professional

Responsibilities

• Provide technical safety support for routine operations, project work, major maintenance, construction, and emergency response.
• Support the development, maintenance, and execution of safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.
• Conduct safety program audits and analyze performance data to identify trends and propose corrective recommendations.
• Lead investigations for near-misses, incidents, and injuries to identify root causes and track implementation of preventative measures.
• Develop and present safety training materials in collaboration with Operations and Learning Development departments.
• Serve as a competent person for specific programs such as fall protection, excavation safety, and Life Critical work.
• Create safety communications for shift starter meetings, safety meetings, notices, and bulletins.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED with 6 years of relevant safety professional experience, OR a Bachelor's degree in a related area with 4 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain a TWIC Card.
• Ability to wear appropriate PPE, including respirators, and perform physical tasks in the field.
• Ability to work a 9/80 schedule, including on-call duties and support for Turnaround (TAR) as needed.
• Legal authorization to work in the US without future visa sponsorship.
