Personal Injury Paralegal

Responsibilities

• Support clients and attorneys through the full lifecycle of personal injury cases, including case development and litigation assistance.
• Manage medical records, bills, and treatment documentation, including requesting, tracking, and summarizing information.
• Coordinate with medical providers, insurance carriers, and lien holders to ensure accurate case documentation.
• Assist in the preparation of settlement packages, demand letters, and supporting evidence.
• Draft routine legal documents such as discovery responses, correspondence, and case outlines.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within the firm's case management system.
• Proactively communicate with clients to provide updates and prepare them for depositions or medical appointments.

Requirements

• 1–2+ years of Personal Injury Paralegal experience (auto, premises, workers’ comp, etc.).
• Strong understanding of personal injury processes from intake through settlement or litigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with technology and case management systems.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and strict deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

• Litigation experience (state/federal court, discovery, depositions, trial prep).
• Experience summarizing medical records and understanding medical terminology.
• Familiarity with lien resolution processes.
• Experience with Salesforce, Litify, or similar legal software.
• Paralegal certificate or degree from an ABA-accredited program.
