About the role
Responsibilities
- Support clients and attorneys through the full lifecycle of personal injury cases, including case development and litigation assistance.
- Manage medical records, bills, and treatment documentation, including requesting, tracking, and summarizing information.
- Coordinate with medical providers, insurance carriers, and lien holders to ensure accurate case documentation.
- Assist in the preparation of settlement packages, demand letters, and supporting evidence.
- Draft routine legal documents such as discovery responses, correspondence, and case outlines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information within the firm's case management system.
- Proactively communicate with clients to provide updates and prepare them for depositions or medical appointments.
Requirements
- 1–2+ years of Personal Injury Paralegal experience (auto, premises, workers’ comp, etc.).
- Strong understanding of personal injury processes from intake through settlement or litigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with technology and case management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and strict deadlines simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications
- Litigation experience (state/federal court, discovery, depositions, trial prep).
- Experience summarizing medical records and understanding medical terminology.
- Familiarity with lien resolution processes.
- Experience with Salesforce, Litify, or similar legal software.
- Paralegal certificate or degree from an ABA-accredited program.
