Personal Caregiver

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, teeth/mouth care, and nail care
• Assist with skin care, pericare, and applying lotion
• Help with patient transfers (bed to chair, wheelchair, or toilet) and ambulation using canes, walkers, or crutches
• Provide medication reminders and assist with dressing
• Prepare meals based on the client's preferred diet and assist with feeding if required
• Measure and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure within training limitations
• Perform household tasks essential to the client's personal care
• Accompany clients to medical appointments or shopping trips and perform other essential errands
• Maintain a clean and safe home environment, including the safe use of equipment like oxygen, wheelchairs, and Hoyer lifts

Requirements

• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance
• Access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or the ability to complete certification within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet client needs
