About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential personal support services including activities of daily living, dressing/undressing, and general hygiene
  • Assist clients with lifts and transfers, bowel/bladder routines, skin care, and respiration
  • Support clients with meals and drinks within their homes
  • Manage time effectively in cooperation with clients to complete daily tasks
  • Work independently and cooperatively within a supportive housing program environment

Requirements

  • Completed 600-hour PSW Program meeting provincial or national standards
  • Minimum 1-year PSW experience specifically in the physical disabilities sector
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certificate
  • Ability to pass a Criminal Record Check (Vulnerable Sector)
  • Physical ability to lift and transfer clients
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Membership with the Ontario Personal Support Worker Association (OPSWA)
