Personal Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide basic domestic services including meal preparation, laundry, and light housework
• Assist participants with mobility issues, such as getting in and out of bed or using wheelchairs
• Remind clients to take medications and assist with personal hygiene tasks like bathing and toileting
• Help with daily activities and changing bed linens based on participant needs and limitations
• Provide a caring, positive presence and act quickly and responsibly in emergency situations
• Document participant progress through written, electronic, or verbal communication

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum one year of experience working in a healthcare setting
• Superior interpersonal skills and a high energy level
• Ability to function effectively in a team atmosphere

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree or additional college credits
