Personal Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide basic domestic services including meal preparation, laundry, and light housework
• Assist participants with mobility issues, such as transitioning in and out of bed or wheelchairs
• Remind clients to take medications as directed
• Support personal hygiene needs, including brushing teeth, toileting, and bathing
• Assist with daily activities and changing bed linens based on participant limitations
• Maintain a caring and positive presence for participants
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergency situations
• Document participant progress through written, electronic, or verbal communication

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (advanced degree or credits preferred)
• Minimum one year of experience working in a healthcare setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to function effectively in a team atmosphere
• High energy level and a compassionate approach to care
