Personal Care Assistant

Responsibilities

• Provide basic domestic services including meal preparation, laundry, and light housework
• Assist participants with mobility issues, such as getting in and out of bed or using wheelchairs
• Remind clients to take medications and assist with personal hygiene tasks like bathing and toileting
• Change bed linens regularly and assist with all daily activities based on participant needs
• Maintain a caring and positive presence for participants
• Act quickly and responsibly in emergency situations
• Document participant progress through written, electronic, or verbal communication

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (advanced degree or credits preferred)
• Minimum of one year of experience working in a healthcare setting
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to function effectively in a team atmosphere
• High energy level and ability to work the awake overnight shift
